Pete's first three days of life

Day One: Kim, David, and Esmé come to visit. That's David with his head chopped off. Rachel was Pete's first visitor, but we forgot to take a picture.

Mat and I were the first people to visit Esmé in the hospital, also MoBap, seven years ago! We had just gotten engaged the day before Esme was born.

Right after Pete was born, I had a cobb salad (I was craving lunch meat after nine months of not having any). Lulu and Poppy went to Plaza Frontenac and ate at Canyon Cafe for lunch, and brought us take-out. Dinner on the first day was Mai Lee take-out (one of our favorites). Dinner on the second night was Dewey's take-out, which I ate a lot when I was sick during my first trimester.

Day Two: Pete sleeps with Mom, and Aunt Xandra flies in from Austin!

Day Three: We leave! It was cold and overcast outside--typical St. Louis weather.
