Pete's Seventh Week, May 7 to 13 (iPhone pics)

On the way home from Auburn, on May 7. Pete mainly slept, punctuated by intense (but thankfully brief) periods of crying. He smiled for the first time that morning, in our Auburn Conference Center hotel room, as we were getting ready to leave.

On Mother's Day, May 10

At his six week check-up, Pete was in the 50th percentile weight (10.7 lbs), 75th percentile height (22 inches), and 95th percentile head circumference. Debbie, my horse trainer, said he had the proportions of a human bobblehead!

With the books Michael Elliott gave Pete--they're basically big pictures of baby heads. And they're the only books Pete really pays attention to right now!
