Pete's Fourteenth Week, June 25 to July 1

This week, Lulu came to visit! Pete spent a lot of time in dressing rooms, which is what happens when you won't take a bottle and so can't stay home with Dad. He did, in fact, take a bottle from Lulu, but he's still resisting the whole thing pretty fiercely. He's still growing like a champ (today, July 1st, he weighed 15 lbs and 4 oz!) and is now really, really good (not to brag) at putting things in his mouth and gnawing on them. Usually a toy; if a toy's not available, his hand. If his hand isn't available, my hand. He's not picky.

But the big news: he's rolling over, from back to front! He's been trying to do this for awhile, but his arm always got in the way. Now he's finally figured out how to move that arm out of the way! And now that he can roll over...nothing has really changed. Except that we moved the coffee table out of the way so he won't feel hemmed in.

He's happiest when we're at our groggiest, at 5 AM (his preferred wake-up time, lord have mercy!). He's been to a couple of restaurants this week (sushi and Mexican with Lulu, Chipotle with Rachel, Pastaria with Mom and Dad) and he's very content to hang out in your lap and people watch. This is new, the watching--the world is opening up for little Pete.

The last appearance of the skinny jeans, which are too short in the stride now. Don't worry, new ones are en route!

Lunch with Rachel at Chipotle. I had a steak salad. Pete had his hand.

Pete at our old office, which we are in the (slow) process of cleaning out. He tolerated hanging out in his carseat for, oh, five minutes.

In non-Pete news, we bought an inflatable unicorn horn for the cats. You're welcome!
