Pete went to North Carolina! And met our family friends, the Woods and Nichols. My dad was a resident with Dr. Wood, and Amy and I used to play together as little girls. And I married Simon and Amy, so I think I can take a little responsibility for the utter cuteness of Charlie and Raylan?
While in Blowing Rock, Pete visited the Woods' Mountain House and Diamond Creek golf course; ate A LOT of food (grits, fried chicken, pizza, even pâté!) and was fascinated by Charlie and Raylan (they walk! they talk! they do things with toys Pete never thought possible!). He was also a sleep terrorist. He slept in our room, and he seemed to figure out pretty quickly that the tiniest peep would rouse mom.
