This week, Pete met a horse! He's actually met horses before (twice!) but this was the first time he was old enough to be aware that he was staring at a giant animal. The horse was very friendly, and interacted with us over his stall door; at first Pete stared, and then he laughed and laughed, delighted. Horses are in his blood, of course.
In groups, Pete sticks close to me and Mat but once he warms up is a pretty friendly guy. At home, he squawks and laughs and smiles; he's still slithering around, not quite crawling, but getting where he need to go (albeit slowly). He loves: meal time, the cats, and watching Mom and Dad do yard work. He's learned to "fake" sip out of an empty cup, which delights me and Mat--his first joke.

Loves ranch, like Lulu.

At Chappy's for breakfast. We gave Pete little half and half containers to keep him busy, but now you can't take anything away from him without him throwing a little fit. That's new.

He loves looking at himself.

Pete liked his beard (and his glasses).

Gnawing on a sweet pickle (he wouldn't give it up, despite the face).

Bubble-time during music class

New sleep sack, for fall's colder climes.
