This week went by in a blur, as time generally does since Pete was born. Pete is still loving music class (Mat tells me not to sing too loud, or we might get kicked out) and library story hour. He also LOVES his babysitters, and cries when they leave. He's getting more and more interactive with other kids--today he smiled at a story hour buddy, which I think is the first time he's smiled at another baby. His new trick is clapping when we say "yay". He's also eating everything we offer him--just tonight he had a taste of homeade caesar salad dressing (with lots of anchovies!) and ricotta cheese. His other trick is going from a sitting position into crawling. It's not elegant, but he gets the job done.

I was out and it was bedtime, which is a hard time for Pete!

Mat, upon seeing this: "Well, he is half-DiSclafani."

Mat and Pete like taking selfies!

A beautiful fall day. This was before we raked the yard, which we spent most of Sunday doing.

At Lowe's! This was the first time Pete sat in the cart--he loved it. He gets antsy after he's in the stroller for ten minutes but he sat here for an hour--he got very still and solemn and held on with both hands.

At Acre! Pete at a lot of grits. And salmon and chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes.

Chins!

Listening to leaves being crushed--he thinks the sound is hysterical.

He gets a bath every night, right before bedtime. Pete is very civilized.

For the first time, he ventured into the laundry room and spent twenty minutes exploring the steamer.

One day this will be where our breakfast table goes, but for now it houses a giant Pete mat.

Very serious about catching bubbles at music class.
