Pete's Thirty-Ninth Week, December 17 to 23

This week, Pete traveled from Auburn to Ocala, via a plane flight from Atlanta to Orlando. Upon landing, he spent the afternoon in the mall, shopping with mom and Lulu. He was a pretty good sport about it, probably because he's immobile. He adjusted pretty quickly to Ocala life, where he is basking in the attention of Lulu and Poppy and Aunt Xandra, trying to pet dogs that don't want to be petted, and pointing out all the new lights.

He has started doing a cute head shake thing (that's not really a skill, I suppose, but it sure is adorable) and he's pulling up like he's been doing it all his life. He's also started to cruise a little bit, mainly down the couch. More and more he's into everything: the tinsel scattered around my mother's nativity scene; the dogs' water bowl; the lint on the carpet. Every week he seems like a new baby, and yet our same, sweet Pete.

On the plane! It kills me to take him out in pajamas, but footed clothes are the way to go when traveling.

Because Dad is a germaphobe, all areas within Pete's reach are wiped down.

At the mall

In his Christmas outfit, before my dad's office Christmas Party

With Kat, one of the dogs that does not like being touched

In the square--we went on Friday and strolled around downtown and saw the lights.

At Stella's, after out stroll

Early morning puffs

With Cass and Shannon at the Ivy House

Standing!

Chilling with Poppy

Butler, the other dog who does not like being touched by Pete, although he's more receptive than Kat.

With Dr. Asokan

Shopping at Publix

With the nativity scene tinsel

At the French restaurant in his fancy outfit

At the mall, again! After picking up Aunt Xandra from the airport

Pete's a champ at restaurants--he just stares at the other diners and eats bits from our plates.

Pete's longtime obsession: buttons.
