Pete's Forty-Third Week, January 14 to 20 (Pete points! And signs for more!)

This week, Pete started pointing! At Bamba, the peanut snack food we give him because we don't want him to have a peanut allergy. (I have to resist devouring the entire bag--they taste like peanut-flavored cheese doodles.) Anyway, Pete feels the same way, and gets excited when he hears the crinkle of the Bamba bag; lo and behold, he has started pointing to the Bamba when offered a choice! He's also started doing the "more" sign, mainly in reference to food. Mat took a toy away from him yesterday and he pointed and did the more sign. So smart, our Pete! He's also had a cold (poor Pete!) but is otherwise his charming self.

We read to him in our bed every night--he uses the opportunity to climb all over us.
