We went to LA! And all slept in the same hotel room and survived. Mat and I saw a lot of the city as Pete napped in the backseat of our car (the only way he would nap). And then...we returned to Auburn and Pete had a very high fever but no other symptoms. The rash he developed when the fever broke identified the illness: roseola, which he likely got from being disgusting in the airport or any other number of public places. Pete does not believe in germ theory, at least not yet.

Naked in the hotel room

In Santa Monica! Weather was beautiful, food was expensive, traffic was bad.

We went to the Santa Monica pier, which was trashy, and Pete didn't seem to realize he was at a beach (his first time), and Mat and I got sand in our shoes, but at least we got this picture.

A fry as long as Pete's arm--this was in Redondo Beach.

At a car dealership. Pete's face was how we all felt.

At Newk's!

And...at the doctor's. Pete's fever got up to 104. It was scary, but he was fine.
