Pete's Fifty-Seventh Week, April 21 to 27 (Pete goes to Apalachicola!)

We went to Apalachicola to celebrate Mat's birthday. Neither of us really like the beach, and Apalachicola is a beach town, so I was a little unclear on why I planned a trip to the beach, but the oysters were worth it. We ate dozens of raw oysters. They were sweeter than other oysters and, well, perfect. Pete did not eat raw oysters, but he enjoyed roaming around our hotel room and hanging out at restaurants, watching us eat.

The cats are cut out of this picture, but they were there, lurking beyond the frame. Every single animal in the house wanted some of Mat's fries.

Not soothed by the waves
