We started in Nashville, on Monday. Lulu met us at the airport. We got to see Aunt Nancí! Then my old stomping grounds, St. Louis. Then Denver, where I got to see Molly (Pete was asleep) then Houston, where we got to see Roy and Laura.
The thing I remember most clearly about this leg of the tour is getting sick. First me, in Nashville, but only for one night. Then Pete. Then my mom, in Denver. Well, to be more accurate, it started just as we were leaving St. Louis. She got hit the hardest.
I will also remember almost not making our flight in Denver, because the security lines were so long. We had to ask to cut in front of people. I think Pete helped our cause.

At the gate. Pete spent a lot of time running away from me.

Pub day! In the lobby of our hotel near Vanderbilt, which was also where we stayed when I was first pregnant with Pete!

He was fascinated by the elevator bank. He would watch people get on, then cry when the door closed.

In the hotel room with Aunt Nancí

At the Parnassus launch event!

Drinking the prosecco my agent sent. Pete ate the chocolate-covered strawberries.

In St. Louis! At the Moonrise, which was where my mom used to stay when she came to St. Louis to help us take care of Pete when he was a tiny newborn.

At Plaza Frontenac, where Pete actually spent a fair amount of time as a newborn

En route to Denver!

Denver!

I love this--Laura and Pete

On our way home!

Denver (a little out of order). Pete got a bunch of bug bites in Nashville, so he and I walked to a Walgreens downtown to get Calamine lotion while my mom convalesced.

O Magazine!

EXHAUSTED at Roy and Laura's

Another airport shot (we've got a lot)
