The last day we were in Madrid was the Feast of the Epiphany, which is their big Christmas celebration. It was very quiet that morning, but by the afternoon everything was open. We went to the Thyssen Museum and then left Pete with Mat and Poppy so Mama could go eat tapas with Xandra and Lulu.
We left the next day. Long story, but we were put on an earlier flight, which was actually a blessing in disguise (VERY MUCH IN DISGUISE) because then we had a direct flight from Frankfurt to Atlanta, whereas before we were going to have a layover in Newark. But we had to leave Madrid on a 6 AM flight, which meant we had to get up at 3:30 AM. All there is to say about that twelve hour flight from Frankfurt to Atlanta: We did it. It's done.

We got him a Spanish outfit. It's so cute I could die.

We found a cool plant wall while wandering around

At the Thyssen. Pete pretended to talk into the audio tour headset the entire time.

Only took one picture of our travels home. This was after we'd arrived in Atlanta, while waiting for Daddy to retrieve the stroller.

Home!
