We got back from Madrid on Saturday and went back to teaching on Thursday. In between, we tried to settle Pete into his new routine, which includes a new babysitter (the drawback to using college students is that their schedules change each semester, as does ours) and Tuesday and Thursday mornings home alone with mom. Last semester I felt like I didn't see him at all on Tuesdays and Thursdays (I left before eight, and returned at three) so this semester we cut back on babysitting a little bit and on Tuesdays Pete and I go to his MyGym class and on Thursdays we go to the park solo or with friends. It's been fun. On Mondays and Wednesdays Pete goes to Grace Preschool, with Mrs. Candice and Mrs. Jennifer and seven other friends (Simon, Lily, John Patton, JJ, Rebecca, Emily, and Avery) and on Friday mornings his beloved babysitter Sarah, who has been with him since we first moved here, watches him.

Solemn because he is contemplating life or because there is a computer with a show on it in front of him?

And on that first Thursday morning, our babysitter was sick, so Pete came to campus with me and hung out in my office. Mat picked him up after his class (we make sure our classes don't overlap so we can do this in an emergency. Luckily we don't often have to.)

At Zoo Atlanta! We got a wild hair and decided to go up for the day. It was really fun except for the hour and a half drive
