We are finally into the routine of the Spring Semester. Since our teaching schedules change every Spring and Fall, so does our routine. Sometimes we have a babysitter come on weekend mornings so we can write, but Monday through Friday Pete goes to school (Grace on Mondays and Wednesdays, CDO on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays). In the afternoons Pete naps. I thought for sure he was giving up his naps, but in the past few months he's experienced something of a nap renaissance, and usually sleeps for 1.5 to 2.5 hours. I teach on Monday afternoons, Mat on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Lately Mat is with Pete after his nap, and I'm on campus. They go outside after Pete gets up, either our yard or Hickory Dickory. Then I come home, we play (generally with Tegus or Magnatiles) and eat dinner and take a bath. I've been putting Pete down--we read a few books and then I rock him. Somewhere in there we Facetime with Lulu and Poppy and run around naked (Pete, not us).

Jim n' Nicks, an old favorite. The service is often terrible, but Pete likes the cheesy biscuits. Pete, by the way, is in a very picky phase. Everything except pure carbs are "yucky."

Lulu came to visit! We organized the pantry, Pete's toys, the garage, the basement storage room--it was so satisfying!

Pete looking very adult at lunch at The Depot

Playing with his Tegu magnetic blocks from Nana and Papa. They're Pete's favorite toys. We keep the set downstairs, where most of his toys are, but he usually carries around three or four so he can build everywhere he goes. He makes all sorts of surprising things out of them--airplanes, all manner of construction vehicles, letters.

Pure carb peanut butter and jelly

Haircut!

Pete's little brother! He has "big lips," which is the same thing the ultrasound tech said about Pete.

Post haircut. He looks so old!

We like to visit construction sites

Celebrating JJ"s birthday at school. We control his sugar intake pretty well at home, and then...he goes to preschool.

He loves this hat

Pete's preferred chair for eating

Wouldn't take off the hat

In Mat's office/weight room, which is a little forbidden so he loves to go in there.

At the dentist! No cavities. He has all his teeth except his final upper molars.

I got this chair out for me...
