Dublin and home

In July we took Lee on her first international trip! She really enjoyed it! Lol. Actually, she did have fun, letting herself loose on a new place instead of her normal environs. I'm writing this a year and a half later, and backwards. So this is the end of our trip--we spent a week in Dublin before flying home--and the beginning was spent at my sister's wife's family home, in Cork. It's called Avonmore, and parts of it date back to the 1600s, which is wild. But I'm getting ahead of myself--we went for my sister's wedding to the aforementioned Emily, who is the best part of our family. A story I like to tell: When they first started dating Xandra asked me if we liked Emily and I said, Yes! We like her more than we like you. It was a beautiful country, and we had a wonderful time even with three small children in tow--a testament to the Simonin's hospitality.

Lee at a coffee shop. Probably the least exciting picture I took.

At Trinity College! Where Emily went.

I could be a co-ed, right?

One thing children loves is tours of historical sites.

Hank and Oscar Wilde!

Tea at the Merrion. Lee mainly handled herself.

Like a fish to water

With Courtlyn! She's been with us since Pete was a year old. We're so glad she came with us--we might have died without her.

We stayed right next to a big rugby stadium, and got caught in game traffic one afternoon. I don't know what to say about my hair.

On the way home! Lee only wanted to be with me (at one point I switched seats with my mom and hid for an hour).

When we got home. Lee is how we all felt.

Out of order, back at Trinity. We also went to the Natural History Museum, and saw the preserved bog people, but I took no pictures there.

I am not normally this tall...we walked through this famous gallery in the library like this because Lee had HAD it.
