February already feels like a million years ago, even though it was only last month.

I don't know why I took this, but this table (which was my kitchen table growing up, where we ate all our meals) is where we spend a lot of time. And it usually has random leftover food and sauces (in this case, soy) scattered about. One of the boys' chores is clearing the table. In the morning rush it doesn't always get done. Pete's other chores are setting the table (he finds it HILARIOUS to give me and Mat children's forks and spoons), feeding the dogs, and emptying the silverware in the dishwasher. He completes all chores with an amazing amount of reluctance.

Miss Jane. She is the sweetest dog, and very eager to please.

Hankie! We told him his real name was Henry, and he said "Nooo, it not."

Pete is playing soccer this year. Last year it was cancelled because of Covid. His first practice went well until he stopped during the scrimmage and started to cry. We found out later it was because JJ (his best friend) kept taking the ball away from him. He recovered and got back in the game.

This almost never happens. We took a short trip to North Carolina--Hankie stayed home with Mat.

I sent this to Mat and he asked if Pete was drinking wine.

Pete got interested in photographing his toys.

Ready to go home! Pete is good in the car, if you don't mind answering endless questions about endless topics.
