February passed in a blur! I started feeling a lot better, and school got in gear, etc.

I ordered birthday party invites. Hank's having a Spiderman party (of course!)--he's been obsessed with Spiderman for a long time now. At least a year, maybe longer. Pete was never really obsessed with a superhero.

And Pete is having a party at the Nature Preserve! With a reptile situation.

We usually watch cartoons after baths/before bed, though lately Pete (and thus Hank) has been too busy with drawing and lizard-catching to do that.

Asleep! Hank dropped his nap as soon as he went to Indian Pines (that was one factor, among many, that made us switch him)--Montessori insists upon a looong nap and so that meant Hank wouldn't go to bed until 9 or 10. Well, he'd go to bed but not fall asleep until then. But if you put him in the stroller he falls asleep instantly.

One of Pete's drawings. They get weirder/more inventive every day. He can draw for hours and hours and hours. As my friend David says, The world is your oyster when you're a boy who loves the arts! Lol. Oh, he also started piano, which he loves. He has so far not loved any sport we've put him in--soccer, tennis, golf. He knows what he likes. He's not a wishy-washy kid.

Hankie. I think this was after Pete was picking on him in the tub and Hank whispered in my ear "I like Davis better than Pete" (Davis is his preschool buddy). I about died laughing.

Petit fours from scratch! Not sure what compelled me to make them, but make them I did.

Junior was sick, which was a little alarming because he's always so energetic and I was afraid he'd swallowed a child's toy. He rebounded the next day.

Pete writing out his classmates' names on the Valentine's Day cards

His class got a popcorn party for reading 100 books together! Pete loves school. I mean, he would not tell you that--he would say he likes certain parts--but it's such a change from last year. He seems to look forward to going, and is always telling us about the cool things they're doing.

The slightly obscene-looking cookie Pete made from extra dough

Pete and his bestie Tyler. He LOVES Tyler.

Pete and Caleb

Hankie and his President's Day hat. It was so, so cute.

At Pete's favorite "center." Pete is dumbfounded as to why Mat and I don't do centers with our students.

At a very good taco place on a cold Saturday, with Wuwu and Poppy (not pictured)

I've been baking a lot. Or I was in February.

We got another ultrasound because I had Covid. Everything was fine, just a precaution.

At Auburn's Mardi Gras parade. Hank was kind of meh about it, but Pete loved darting into the street and getting beads.

Ice cream afterward

That's Davis right behind Hankie. They love each other. I also don't remember Pete talking about friends at home when he was Hank's age.

Look at that guy

The master at work

Right before he got sick. Fell asleep like this on the couch after our neighbor's birthday party.
