February highlight was taking the boys to Charleston for my good friend Robyn's son's Bar Mitzvah. It was just me and the boys--Mat and Lee stayed home so she would not wreak her havoc upon Charleston. Robyn is actually the reason I restarted the blog after a two year hiatus. She read a beautiful letter to Ryan during the ceremony, and we talked about documenting our children's lives, and she asked what happened to the blog. So here we are!

Pete and Torsten. Terrible photo, but Pete and Hank are taking tennis and we went to a tennis match one Sunday. It was great--free food for all! And fun to watch. Men's basketball, football, and gymnastics are very popular here. The rest of the teams try to lure you in with perks. The boys do not yet love tennis--it's a lot of technical stuff at first, as you learn to play.

Would you care for a red pepper?

Sourdough chronicles. All the kids eat it now, and request it, which is extremely gratifying. Though Hank asked for a slice for breakfast the other day and Mat said, well, Hank, in three days you may have one.

Hank got really sick with the flu. It turned into pneumonia and if his blood oxygen level had dropped anymore they would have sent us to the hospital for observation. He was his same sweet self throughout the ordeal.

A plate I had made for Georges and Olive as a thank you for hosting us for my sister's wedding!
