Again, writing this in March 2021...

This was the baby pen we used to keep Hankie contained. Our house has no real good options for baby gates.

I believe this was at the end of Winter Break. We were running out of things to do.

On Auburn's campus

This guy was such a cheerful baby. He still is pretty cheerful. Pete was always a little moodier.

Visions in gray.

At Acre! This was during Hank's food allergy phase, where it was stressful for me to watch him eat. We knew he was allergic to peanuts and almonds, but they didn't test him for anything else (they don't test until there's a reaction) and so mealtimes felt like going to war.

Hankie used to eat right here, in his highchair next to the pantry.

And Pete right here, at the bar, before Hankie started climbing onto the chairs.

Mat sent this to me when I was in New York, for Liz's memorial service. It was the first time I'd left Hank since he was born.

This was when I entered my extreme exercise phase at Moore's Mill. The pandemic ended that.

At My Gym! Pete went there also. They closed because of the pandemic.

Hank's face was always greasy because he usually had aquaphor on his eczema.

At Dr. LaRussa's--we found a doctor in Birmingham who does OIT with infants. There's a lot of research suggesting the earlier you start OIT, the better the outcome, but most doctors won't do it until the child is 3 or older.

Allergy test results

Eating his first bite of peanuts mixed in applesauce! We went to Birmingham every Monday for 8 weeks. By the end of it Hank was eating peanuts and almonds like a champ.
