Key West!

For Spring Break we met Auntie X and Emily in the Keys. Getting there was not the most fun I've ever had, but being there was a blast. We stayed on the quiet side of Duvall Street and were able to walk nearly everywhere. Pete and Mat deep sea fished, and Pete and Mat and Hank and I snorkeled. There was a pool at our house that got a lot of use. And Lee loved the six-toed cats.

Our travel day started at 7 AM, when we left Auburn; this was around 4 in the afternoon, when we were waiting for a Lyft to take us to Hertz, because the Miami Mover (a shuttle or something--I wouldn't know, because it was broken--that takes people to the rental car center) was out of service.

In the Lyft, which we crammed ourselves into

Lee was a trooper

At the Atlanta airport, before we left, when we were as fresh-faced as daisies

At our dinner stop

Hank took this at the French restaurant we ate at the first day. I think he has a real eye.

At the beach! This was a fun day. Lee amused herself by digging in the sand, for hours; the boys and Mat and I rented snorkel gear and snorkeled near some rocks. We didn't see much, but Pete and I did spot a barracuda. I took Hank around and he said, "This is so beautiful."

We took these to a restaurant that cooked them for us. They were delicious.

Pete was fascinated by this. "Poppy and Dada and everyone put their fingers into the fishes' gutters."

At another seafood stand! This was on the less savory side of Duvall street, where we went to see street performers.

En route to Atlanta! Our flight was delayed by a few hours. Hanging out in an airport with kids: Not the most fun I've ever had. Except Mat is Lee's favorite, so he followed her around (that was her preference).

Home! Well, almost. We rolled into Auburn around 10 PM.
