We went to St. Louis to visit David! This was a trip that was supposed to happen the week covid shut everything down, two years ago. Well, David was supposed to come here. First he cancelled his flight, and planned on driving; then he decided not to come. So finally, this fall, Pete and went!

He was a little cowed by the airport, which was sweet. He hasn't been anywhere in so long! He'd forgotten how to use the escalator, for instance, though i guess the only places that have escalators any more are malls and airports, and the Auburn Mall is one story. And we don't go anyway.

At the Sculpture Garden, where David and I used to go with Esme when she was little.

Out of order, at the airport

At the Tower Grove Farmer's Market--Mat and I used to go all the time, but it's gotten so much bigger! Still wildly overpriced, though.

At the Science Museum

When I asked Pete what his favorite part of the trip was he said "cotton candy"...

Hank spent the night with Wuwu and Poppy back in Auburn

At a new burger place, which stands on the grounds of the old Del Taco

With our next door neighbor's boxer, Sampson; Pete and Hank love Sampson a lot more than they love our dogs! He is pretty nice.

At a homecoming parade. Pete was supposed to be in this parade, because he was Student of the Month, but he decided at the last minute he didn't want to do it.

Red dog blue dog from Go Dog, Go! The umbrellas were too big, and I conceived of this project before I got pregnant, so basically Mat had to do all of this when I was sick on the day of Halloween. It was fun!
